Day 51, June 21, 2018
For many, summer is the prize for toughing out the year, our reward for hard work, the season most revered. Of course, summer isn’t cherished by all. In Arizona, it is the time of year a lot of us get out of Dodge, we fly the coup, find cooler pastures. Our close-knit group of friends scatter; some traveling to Ecuador, Northern AZ, Prague, Cruises, camping, California, and other cooler places. We gather prior to say farewell and promise to post pics and share stories when we return. We did just that on Day 51, where else, The Salt Cellar Restaurant for yet another beer and a bowl. Do you see a trend evolving? Should this be my cover photo? Won’t you come join me?
Quote to welcome summer: “Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.”
