DAY 32, JUNE 2, 2018
I was recently telling someone about my blog and what it meant to me. That at the end of 60 days I was hoping to have a healthier outlook on aging, my aging specifically. That I was trying to do something I love every day, no matter how small. Their response was to ask if I planned to “go skydiving?” An odd question, I thought since I’d explained that I was going to do “something I love” not things I have never done. However, when I sat to write this blog I realized the question wasn’t that odd after all. Stepping out of the box can go a long way to keeping you young. I don’t have any statistics and can’t quote any research but would be willing to bet that trying new things is good for you mentally and if it’s not something that is going to kill you, like jumping out of an airplane, that it’s also good for you physically.
Last night we went to see Taylor Swift at Soldier Field in Chicago. While I am not much into pop music and don’t know her songs, I knew it would be an exciting and amazing show. T. Swift did not disappoint. I love music and especially live music. If you get a chance to go see a mega pop artist perform, go.
You won’t be sorry you did. Unless it is an outdoor venue and it starts pouring 3/4 of the way into the concert.
Or better yet, be prepared and have no regrets.
Thought for this day: Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren’t enjoying today’s sunshine. William Feather
