THE NOT SO RELUCTANT TRAVELER

Day 30&31, May 31 & June 1 2018

When I am in planning mode prior to taking a trip, I am truly excited. I can’t wait for the day to arrive and the journey to begin. Then just about 48 hours before it is time to depart, I start to feel reluctant; do I really want to leave my home, my dogs, my routine? The day prior I feel as though the trip could cancel and I would be okay with that. On the day of departure, something kicks in and the excitement heightens. A certain degree of nervousness and a larger degree of resignation takes hold. I can let it all go and ease on into journey mode.

I arrived in Chicago with my friend, May, to visit our friend, Tina on Friday afternoon. We were a little tired but filled with anticipation for the days ahead.

Here we are having a wonderful dinner with Lynn and Tina at Trulucks.

Quote: Whatever you do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
