DAY 22, MAY 23, 2018
You Can’t Always Get What You Want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need

After the giant, puffy cheek from Day 13
and a week of antibiotics, it was time for the tooth with the root canal fail and the bridge clinging to it to go bye bye and two implants to be inserted. So off to the dentist I went. I do not love the dentist and this blog is meant to be about doing things “I love.” However, I do love not having a bridge which I have not warmed up to at all in the two years I have had it. Unfortunately, the swelling and infection had not subsided enough to do one of the implants so I will be going back for that in 3 months. They pulled that bad tooth and that ignited the infection, swelling and pain and I am back on Antibiotics. Feeling slightly sorry for myself, I must say but my husband, a gem, took good care of me.
So what’s a girl to do? Read, do a bit of paperwork, read some more and then read again. Presently enjoying the Luckiest Girl Alive.
For me, it took some getting used to; the writing style had me confused initially. I kept reading back a paragraph or two trying to figure out if I had missed something. Once I got used to that, it was enjoyable. I am just beyond the halfway point. I am looking forward to the movie from Reese Witherspoon.
Quote for the day: Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. Charles Dickens
Oh no! I hope you heal quickly and aren’t in too much pain. Yuck!
