DAY 6, MAY 7, 2018
I do love a new outfit and today I will shop.
Thrift Shop I'm gonna pop some tags Only got 20 dollars in my pocket I'm, I'm, I'm huntin' Lookin' for a come up This is _________ awesome. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
I have found it more and more difficult as I get older to find clothes that don’t make me look frumpy, don’t make me look like I think I am still 30 and that cover the bits I want covered. My taste still lies in fashion that is designed for younger people. I love all the new styles. I consider myself “modish.” I frequently shop at Anthropologie, always looking in the sale room, cuz this place aint cheap. Their website says they cater to fashion for 30 – 45 year old women with clothes that are soft, delicate and boho chic. In my opinion, a lot of their clothes look like throw-backs to the 60’s and 70’s. Suits me, clothes were casual, comfortable and definitely boho then. I was not the only person over 45 in the store, in fact I would say 1/3 of the shoppers, like myself, were well over 50. Perhaps Anthropologie could take note and consider selling more clothing for women over 50 who still want to be comfortably stylish, modish if you will. If you have never been into the store, do yourself a favor, ignore the age group they target, you may find yourself liking the store as much as I do.
Two shirts I found
Pretty sure I could have found something similar in 1978. Especially the shirt with the tie in the front.
Why yes, I do like orange.
Sorry to disappoint anyone wanting to see them actually on, I don’t do selfies. I look a disaster in just about every selfie I have ever taken. Here is the only one I found on my phone. And because it wasn’t deleted instantly, I guess I didn’t find it too awful. I remember needing something with the Cardinals logo on it for some reason. I probably took ten just to get this one worth keeping. Anyway, this would be a good time to get a shout out to my Arizona Cardinals. Go Cards!
